Costa Calida Tourist InformationThe Costa Calida is situated in the southeast of Spain. To the north lies the Costa Blanca and to the south lies the Costa de Almeria with a total of 250 kilometres of coastline. In winter minimum temperatures range between 12 and 14C and maximum temperatures between 20 and 22C. In summer minimum temperatures vary between 18 and -20C and maximum temperatures vary between 30 and 35C. The average annual temperature is 18C. Costa Calida, the warm coast, has beaches of fine sand. The salt-water lagoon Mar Menor and La Manga del Mar Menor offer great water sports. The inland is desert, and there are several small towns, which still preserve their medieval structures.Local cuisine includes stews, salads, roasted meat, rice, and of course great sea-food along the coast. Murcia also produces wine of high quality.
