 The riverbed forms a boulevard along which you can walk to the beach. Albir is not the cheapest spot along the Costa Blanca to buy property but is clearly popular. Albir has its own golf driving course with a small corner for putting practice. You may hire or bring your own clubs. Cricket matches are also held here. Albir also has its own bowling and you are spoilt for choice when it comes to restaurants and bars. Albir has a high international population particularly British and Dutch.  Many restaurants serve paella, the famous rice dish originating in the Valencian region.
